This song was written by Alex Maslansky.

Alex was a great friend, a great musician, a great songwriter. A totally crucial human being. The years we lived in Echo Park, walking to Stories to catch up with Alex for a few minutes—and all the hours I spent with him rehearsing & performing in various bands—brought our time there fully to life.

We miss him. So we're learning a few of his songs & covering them best we can. This is the first we've completed. (Alert listeners may remember it from The Walking Faces 1st cd, in a very different rendition... So ok, I knew how to play this one already.)

If we record enough of Alex's songs for an album or EP release... then there will be one. But it'll be a while. Meanwhile I hope this is enjoyable to those who knew Alex & cared about him & also, I suppose, to those who never met him.
